Jester Records is back, this time, the label has taken a different approach then there debut release “Rewired”, heading more towards the electro and minimal side of things offering a new, 4 track EP that is nothing but variety. Keep reading for the low-down on what's cooking : Montreal born Jimmy Clark, A.K.A “PUSH REC+PLAY” gets ready to release his debut EP featuring his electro-tek smasher titled “DoLoop” along with 3 very diverse remixes. PUSH REC+PLAY is an electro-ish act from Montréal that came into existence somewhere in early 2007. [ www.myspace.com ] Croatia’s “SHUMA” has cooked a minimal version of DoLoop that was designed to bend your mind on the dancefloor. With releases on many well known labels such as Tribal Vision, Beef Records, P.O.R.N, Home Made Electronica, Bondage, Two-B-Music, Estilo and more… Shuma represents the collaborative effort of the 2 experienced and unhinged musical minds of Davor Tosovic and Emir Cehaic. [ www.myspace.com ] OMNI (Jonathan Cote) is one of Montreal’s shooting starts, with many digital and vinyl releases on record labels such as Elektrofone Records, Ambiguous, Absolut Freak, 4play trax and soon to be released on Tasty Bytes (his own label, in collaboration with Push Rec+Play and Alice and the Serial Numbers”). Omni showcases his talent once again with Jester Records as his dirty electro remix fits perfectly into any Dj set. [ djomni.net ] Octavio Luz is the last remixer on the bill for this EP, whom is also a Montreal native. With his great talent at spinning Hardtechno + Schranz, Octavio really lets his style reflect on his own productions. His version of DoLoop is by far the hardest and most techno of them all which add’s even more diversity to this release. Look out for future releases from Octavio on Jester Records.
