to encourage him to continue? same reason why you cheer on your friends when it's their first time behind the decks at a party?

Well, adults drinking and smoking herb around him.
There's a limit, you don't allow an 8 year old to
play out at raves. Bad parents.

Following your way of thoughts I shall bring your little brother to his first rave soon enough. Maybe he won't be so stubborn about not doing drugs anymore!

What do you think Dee? LOLZ
I'm feeling your mom right now..

Yeah Alex you're totally right, this kid is such a wannabe and a total NOOB... fucking probably only been in the scene like 1 year at the most and he's totally not even a good DJ. Fucking short too, I bet he's been doing crystal for the past 8 years and stunted his growth. Look at his weird little arms, he's like some sort of little twiggy alien Trevor.
I'm feeling marzipan right now..

@ Twiggy Alien Trevor

No but the wannabe part is 100% certain, prolly
inlfuenced by his older siblings. Put a little hat
on him with some CD's, Headphones and AWWW your little
polly pocket DJ is ready to hit the Raves!
And be addicted to pills by the time he hits 12!

AWWW So cute!

If there's a pay check in it, and they're from the
states,they're doing it.
It's a gimmick.
The kid looks like he's from the Village of the Damned
for suck sake. He should come back when he doesn't
train wreck as often.

If you're going to exploit something, at least make
sure it's good before doing it.

I dunno man, most concert pianists (pfffffftttttt say that one out loud) start pretty young, are DJs in some way inferior to other musicians?

yeh a little bit, a lot of the time they don't make their own tunes and have
no idea what they're doing if they try. BUT we're talking about an 8 year old
playing at Raves, not high school dances, not house parties, raves.

It's not like Beethoven was knockin' back brews and getting his dick wet at
8 years old. People are screaming this kids name like they wanna fuck him.
It's not right. It's also very misleading and shows parents that their
8 year olds can be accepted among the most retarded people on earth, ravers.
Eventually someone is going to book him to play a club or a bar and he won't
be able to take it for years. He should try producing instead of playing dubs
someone set him up with. He'll be more successful, like John B. Who also started
young, like most of us really.

Anyways, I dunno, I'm sure it's a good premise for debate.

Admit it, you're jealous. You wish your parents had given you beer at 3 and started you on weed at 5, deciding to have that bonding ecstasy trip with you around 6 when they bought you your Stantons and an Allen-Heath just to start on. You wish you'd been born on the dancefloor at Twilo in the middle of a foam party. C'mon.
I'm feeling marzipan right now..

Drank my first beer at 4, and started on weed at 13. BUT those we're all my own choices.
I picked up the beer at a BBQ and guzzled it and my stomach turned to stone and was rushed to the hospital.
I was playing piano by the age of 6 and drumming by 7, doesn't excuse the fact that this kid is getting adult
treatment when he shouldn't be.

I mean, I didn't get into the Brian May show at Metropolis when I was 12 now did I? I still loved
Queen a hell of a lot and could have had my parents (very big in local music) pull something off for
me right? Even a "Make a last wish Foundation" lie would have worked, but no. My parents had some
kind of right mind to not let me go and be surrounded by drunk quebecois douche bags singing along to
"fat Bottomed girls". It's called good parenting, and you don't put your kids in a situation like that.

Ah shit. I first drank at 8, the whole thing that is without any problems (slowly too), and I think it was my current favourite, the gin and tonic. Before that my parents were pretty responsible. I got to go to a Gowan concert I think when I was around that age. Before that I was fairly sheltered. I personally would have liked it better if I got to eat Kraft Dinner every day like all the other kids, had a box to shit in, and was selling rock on the streets, but I mean, not everyone feels jealous of that sort of poor upbringing, I guess I can accept that.
I'm feeling marzipan right now..

But that's it, some people would think this is entirely natural considering the
influences these kids have in their lives today, help them hone their talents and
dreams for when it will count. Don't just "Jackson 5" the little maf'k because he
likes to DJ, Q-Berts kids could murder this kid in a second but yet, they aren't
playing shows or raves yet. They need time to develop and grow up and go
through stages like every other kid. If they ask what that smell is (Weed) you tell
them that's not for them! You don't tell them "When You're Older" 'cause you're
not even giving them a chance, they'll think it's completely natural, when it isn't.

I'm saying this trying to sound as least hypocritical as possible, because I also had
a rough upbringing when I stayed with my father. It was very rough, a lot worse than
you could imagine.

So if the kid is destined for greatness, unleash that little maf'k when he's good and
ready to. But not at 8. Come on :p
