 Coolness: 2604105 | The new login system does some nice stuff...
1) You will now be able to tell which page a user is viewing (well I'll be able to, maybe you also). 2) Security problems have been fixed. Before I used to log the login email and the hash of your password in a cookie. Now when you login it will log two separate hashes in an online table which are different from anything else. Whatever the case it's a much better method for a login system. 3) It should also be faster since it will only scan a small login table instead of the big members table. 4) You will be able to get detailed information about how much time you have spent on the site from your login to last page loaded... This option will come soon. 5) This also means two people can NOT use the same account in two different locations. You will be logged off of the other location when you login to the current location. This was not the case before. 6) You will be able to see how many page loads you have done, how many images you have viewed, how many actions you have run on the server and other information like that. 7) A history of your last 25 login sessions will be available for your viewing pleasure so you can see if other people have maybe logged in as you. 8) A bunch more things... Be ready! |
