Problems Uploading Music To My Profile..

Coolness: 86540	I'm trying to upload my mixes to my profile... it just gives me an hourglass busy signal for a while, says "sending request to [ rave.ca ] at the bottom of the window, then after a while it goes back to normal and says I have no music in the database i thought maybe it was the file size, but even a small 3 minute .mp3 gives me the same problem any ideas? thx in advance Liam

Coolness: 282490	what kind of connection are you running on? Not that it really matters but if it's dial up, forget it. I had the same problems uploading music 2 years ago. It just stays loading for about an hour and then it pops up with an error. Just keep trying, maybe make it a lower quality?

Coolness: 685625	I dunno if Noah fixed it or not, but aparently some programs would write the ID3 tag in a way that was non-standard and the board doesn't recognise it as an MP3 as a result. I also think that the biggest culprit was iTunes.

	I'm feeling fuckin' crazy right now..

Coolness: 2604020	The site will be changing back from IIS to Apache (like every other website I run) very soon. I think all the [ rave.ca ] and apache problems have been fixed. This with a new login system... Expect the changes on Monday. Maybe this will help fix your problems. In the meantime I'll try uploading your music myself and see if it works. If it does we know it's your connection.

Coolness: 220005	yea i remember getting those ID3 tag errors...i think i just openned the mp3 in another program, and re-saved it, and it worked.

Coolness: 2604020	the old version of apache was very very buggy and would crash the site all the time... i think people remember those memory errors. we will see if it happens again or not. i had no choice but to use iis for ONLY [ rave.ca ] ... all the other sites used apache no problems...
