Tribal Masters kicks off with a huge BANG! as your hosts T.O.M. and DJ ELAN welcome back Adam Freemer (TWISTED records -- [ www.myspace.com ] -- [ www.adamfreemer.com ] to Montreal for a night of red-hot tribal beats.
This is the first in a series of monthly events. Tribal Masters nights are committed to bringing Montreal the biggest names in tribal house, once a month, mid-month on Fridays.
With a degree in Electrical Engineering and a fascination for sound, music and technology since he was a child, the stage was set for Adam's obsession with all things electronic and all things musical. With support from some of underground dance music's heaviest hitters such as Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, DJ Vibe, John Digweed, Danny Howells and Tom "Superchumbo" Stephan to name just a few, Adam has made quite a name for himself as a dj, and as a producer. After beginning his dj career in the mid 90's he received a prominent push to the head of the pack in 2000 by filling in for Danny Tenaglia at his now infamous "Be Yourself" party at Vinyl in New York, and the opportunity to play at the now legendary Twilo before its demise.
In 2002 Adam started his relationship with Twisted records, signing his first highly successful EP: "H2O"/"The 13th Tribe" when Tom "Superchumbo" Stephan personally gave a copy of Adam's "H2O" to Twisted foreman, Rob DiStefano. H2O featured house legend Alan T. from Miami providing the vocal snippit to this club stomping first effort. To follow that up, Adam remixed Superchumbo Tom Stephan's smash hit "Irresistible" which went to number 1 on Billboard in part due to Adams strong remix effort. This began his longstanding relationship with Twisted where Adam went on to release a string of successful singles such as "The Rising Storm" and Adam's most successful club stomper to date: "Underground, Baby!" which achieved top 5 download status on beatport and a successful footing in the Billboard dance top 10 chart. Besides being in the box of nearly every top house dj such as Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone and DJ Vibe, it was remixed by Twisted all stars Alex Santer and the 2 Toasters (Frank Maurel and Carlos Fauvrelle). Adam's original mix appeared on DJ Vibe's: Global Grooves 3 mix compilation and is still a popular track in clubland to this day. Adam has gone on to work with such popular labels and artists such as Cevin Fisher, DJ Chus, Mistress Barbara, house legend Robbie Tronco, Stereo Productions, Desyn Masiello's Alternative Route recordings and Lajja of Portugal.
On the dj front, after Vinyl and Twilo in New York, Adam has gone on to headline some of the most prominant house clubs in the world. Adam has toured the world several times over at this point and has built a solid reputation for quality dj sets with crowd pleasing performances, while holding true to his underground roots. Adam's set are always given high acclaim for being unique and energetic as he infuses each set with his own eclectic mix of house, techno, vocals, tribal and progressive flavored house.
