Maybe I'm just in a horrible mood but this article is BULLSHIT, it stipulates everything and confirms nothing. It talks about all the negative aspects without considering any of the possible positive aspects (like maybe it ISN'T like getting hit hard in the head)
It also only refers to 'abuse' of the drug and doesn't consider occasional or rare users.

| Yeah they are assholes. You know the "large doses" of amphetamines they use on rats for this study? They are usually 20mg/kg of bodyweight. So if you weigh 50kg, that would be ONE SHOT of a full gram of the stuff. Hm, yah. Injected, too. Know anyone who does that? I don't think I did. And if I did, I missed their funeral...
What I am trying to say is those studies are so biased, so one-sided, that to give them any value whatsoever is the first mistake. Of course the general public swallows all of this stuff as God's Word. In the words of Nuclear Ramjet, we must think for ourselves. |

| Well, of course. All these studies are sponsored by organizations like NIDA which are vehemently anti-drug, and the only purpose of these studies is to provide anti-drug propaganda as another part of the arsenal in the war on drugs.
So, if your a scientist getting sponsorship from NIDA, you better design experiments that are methodologically rigged to show that drugs are harmful. Otherwise, you'd probably get your funding cut. |
