 Coolness: 61505 | Lost in the urban wasteland, I find solace in community. One of the beautiful things about existing in such an intimate community is that the truth about individuals is often exposed despite their attempts to represent themselves as the contrary.
"Psst, don't tell anyone but [fill in the blank]." They are called "Open Secrets" (Alice Munro) and they have a habit of coming back to haunt. The community keeps us in check and reminds us that the more toes that you step on as you climb towards the top, the more times you will be kicked on your way down. I told you once, but you did not listen. I am not going to coddle you just because you act like a child. Smarten up. You don't know me. I'm vexed. |
