Does Anyone Here Do Satellite Installations?

Coolness: 55485	I can't get my dish to point at the dish network satellite at 119. I tried for about 3 hours today but all I could get is expressvu sat. 91. Does anyone here do installations? I'll pay you to go up on my roof and aim my dish for me.

Coolness: 152495	are you usig FTAs? what's your box? [ www.lyngsat.com ] this is a good tool to align. Echostar 7 is your dish network satelite.

Coolness: 55485	thanks bunnytronix and jason. I have a friend coming over to help me today. I point it at azimuth 235 but no matter what my elevation i can't get a signal. i am worried that there is something in the signal path :(

Coolness: 152495	I had a friend who had his antenna pointing through a window. Got 75% signal quality. You just need to be realy patient, and have the signal quality bleep-o-meter on your machine as loud as possible.

Coolness: 55485	i finally got it aimed - i must have some kind of magnetic anomaly on my roof, or a bad compass, because it told me that I was pointing at azimuth 285 when i finally got the signal, which is off by 50 degrees! and i don't feel that videotron is better than american satellite with ppv....;)

Coolness: 44885	took me 4 days to figure it out, its not what its suposed ot be at so no worries but its around where its suposed to be, for the next time what helps is going up with portable tv

Coolness: 55485	i had my gf in the living room watching the signal meter with a portable radio, so we were doing it that way. it's not the best method, but i don't have any tv's small enough up on the roof. my signal strength is not great with the clouds today, so I am probably going back up this afternoon so i can get a better signal before the anaheim game tonight.
