I guess the only good point is to think that some research wouldn't be done if the people doing it we're not sure to have the copyrights after that....??? |

| True, but greed shouldn't be a motivational institution either... Do we really need something if it's only purpose is to profit? Maybe. Credit is one thing but too often it seems like patented ideas are self evident, and what happens when somebody discovers the same exact thing that someone else did, they work just as hard but they are called a thief instead of an innovator. |

| Don't tell anybody... but I'm going to patent a new technology which uses stem cell technology to clone a secret army of innovators who will THEN patent all their garbage/money collecting ideas for me.

| i'm just glad they disallowed dna and genomes being patented, however, they still patent medicinal molecules (drugs) but they do have a time limit (like 6 or 8 years or something like that)
monsanto is evil tho, forcing farmers to buy their transgenic crops that only last one season anyway
