High Sober?

 Coolness: 178680 | Yah, I was wondering, am I the only one who actually gets high while sober at parties?
I mean, I never take anything at parties. But when the music is right, when I'm dancing like crazy, I get freaking high! Litteraly. My eyes actually roll backwards and sometimes I clench my teeth, and I'm all lost in hyperspace. I think it's caused by high levels of endorphins in my brain, maybe because of intense physical exercise (or maybe an abnormal brain) but I'm not sure. So yah, I was wondering if I was the only one to which that stuff happens. |

 Coolness: 144930 | It is caused by exercise. The same way someone who jogs every morning clears up his thoughts. Intense physical exercise can create a trance. This was used in some tribal rituals. Dancing around the fire kind of thing. I also heard this trance is addictive. It's not a dangerous addiction, since exercise is healthy, but supposedly, you get addicted to your own endorphins. (I haven't verified if this is true or not, just something I heard)
Actually, a lof of ravers experience that on speed. Speed isn't directly responsible, it just makes people dance enough to reach that stage. Since you don't need drugs to dance (duh) you reach the exact same stage naturally. |

it depend on a lot of things, but loud music really help, sometimes when im tired or something i listen to some trance ( like cry (rank 1 remix) or some old scool gamemaster or other vocal stuff) and i got ... "la boule en dedan" like if i was gonna cry, but the same track at low volume or at another time , is still great but doesnt make me feel like this but its not everyone who feels like this, its more sensitive people i think |

| Coolness: 144930 | The most powerful drugs in the world are created by the human body. Pills just puts people in situations where those drugs will be released. It can also affect how they are released. mdma is a good example. You're actually getting a serotonin high with it. |

 Coolness: 49875 | I think it's actually because we have gotten high in the past. Our bodies have learned how they feel on drugs. If i want, I can pretty much get a gentle E buzz while listening to the right tracks. Breathing deeply and concentrating on exterior stimulations helps alot. I'm not sure someone who has never tried E knows what he or she is looking for, therefore not really being able to "get to that place".
But hey that's just me, and as I reread my post, I find I sound like an old hippy. =) |

If I get that high on nothing, I think if I took pills, it would be too much for my brain and it would make me insane. Well, more insane than now. |

 Coolness: 45660 | never, life is too boring and dull without alcohol or some other type of narcotic.
Maybe if I was jumping out of an airplane, or if I can produce more dopamine or natural brain chemical in some other way, I need thrill and excitement or some kind of substance to keep me sane. |

 Coolness: 47530 | Aerial and I understand each other!! It's hard to explain to people how disconnect of the world I can feel when I'm in a rave or listening to music, all of this sober, of course! Like Aerial, I never took drugs, I can get high in my own way and I'm fine with it! I think that when you like or love something very much, you can have strong feelings, just think when you are madly in love with someone, and I mean MADLY!! You feel fine, in your own little world. Like Julien said, there's no more powerful drugs than the ones that our body can produce! Imagine, adrenalin can save you when you are in a situation of danger, when you need to run for your life, you get stronger than you never thought you could be. And you took no pills... |

i see it a lot on the 'spiritual' side i guess. dance is active meditation, and we kindof get to a point where we can feel energy a lot more on a dancefloor because it's grooving all around us. and when we know how to use/canalize/focalize that energy by using the music and/or breathing, we can get really high with no drugs. aerial i know what you say when your eyes turn back and stuff. look up info on the pineal gland, pranic breathing and dmt. or we could talk about this in a future bathroom conversation ;) ;) |
