Hi,

I am looking onto buying myself a synthetiser and starting to learn to make some productions with it.

I was looking into seeking more information on about, what to buy ? What to look for in a synth, etc ...

Any advice is good !

Anyone can help me :)

Really appreciated !

if you are starting to produce, before investing lots of money in synths, get vst's and fuck around with them
at least you will see if you like producing!

if your interested in computer production you might wanna look into a "midi controler" instead...

which many noobs acctually get confused with a synth.

anyway.. a midi controler is a keyboard that looks much like a synth but it doesn't make any sounds on its own.

instead its used to trigger sounds on your computer from programs like reason or other virtual instuments.

its acctually alot more cost effective for a noob to buy a simple usb midi controller for a hundred bucks than a quality synth that could range from a few hundred to a few thousand.

anyway... before we recomend a synth or a midi controller you should let us know a little more about how you wanna make your tracks... ie. what programs or instuments you plan on using.
I'm feeling unicorn friendly right now..

Yeah if you play in rock bands and stuff then you would want some kind of hardware synth... But if you are doing computer based music a midi controller would be a smarter investment (you can always buy rack mount/table mounted syths if you want hardware later)

Yeah 100$ for a 44key midi controller and you'll be set for years...you can make a lot of sounds with those VST's.
