 Coolness: 148980 | fucking A!!!! finally... a sick fucking techno DJ in MOntreal !! pullin' all the stops, tight on 3 decks, spewing charisma, smiling like a motherfucker, and tearing non stop 150 bpm fucking TEK !! can't remember the last time I was so impressed by a DJ.. ben sims maybe? bam bam? it's been a while.. BIG ups @ rm for this booking, was great to see the tek munity come out to represent, a true stomper for the heads only... |

rush told me that it's written in his contracts in europe, that he ain't spinning at no parties if they chargin more than 8 euros. he told me that the promotors gotta charge less and make a name for themselves... then the people come. onelove |

 Coolness: 37985 | the ticket was 20$ for 2 months until one hour before the event, and work my ass off telling everybody to go get the ticket in advance with a lot of promo. If people want to wait at the door, it's a choice. This was one hell of a set-up, for Club Soda only, a + 12,000$ show. A break even of more than 400 people. Believe me, I was FAR by making any money that night. VERY FAR. After 18 partys in 5 years, I don't think Ravemontreal has to make a name for itself. Rush said he was way impress with the organisation. I gave everthing I had to make this techno party in montreal.
If he didn't play all night or both venues, it's because he performs max 2 hours in his contract. He went for 2:30 and gave so much energy I told the guy would pass out. He gave everything he got. Rush loved it so much, he says he wants to come back asap. He felled in love with Montreal and says he had the best time, and will write something about it on his webiste at [ www.djrush.net. ] He was just the nicest guy, incredible performer, and Alex Bau didn't an amazing job at Aria. Musically, one of the best night I have ever heard. |

| Coolness: 72775 | i'm not saying it was a bad nite at all. i had a great time. i said it would have been cool to see a lot more people there...and that maybe more people woulda came if it was cheaper (for a club) and all nite...-and a longer set. don't get me wrong...i do appreciate all the work that you put into it. Good on you for bringing rush back. And do it again. i'll be there for sure.

I totally understand what you are saying, yes it would have been cool having more people . The thing is with Europe is that techno is much stronger, if promoters would charge only 8 euro, that means it would take at least about 400 people to get Rush alone. So if you want to make up for the venue, staff, set-up, well you need a lot of people. Oh and guess what? My man Alex recorded the whole set!!! I will put up his set on Ravemontreal tonight. It's so GOOD! |

Wow, Rush totally kicks. I just loved how he didn't bother with an intro after Yaz and just cut to the bangin' stright up! Boom boom boom! Muthafahkin' bass in yo' muthafahkin' face. He's so chill too like he got on the dance floor after his set and was dancing and chatting with peeps....I got an autograph and all AAAHHH! I feel like a retarded groopie and all and I don't care hehehe. |

 Coolness: 93075 | SICK`SICK`SICK.... that was easily one of the best Dj sets/shows I've seen in a lions yawn, just simply awesome, Rush confirmed that the "DJ" is alive and very fucking well, and that the dream is not over yet... was great to see the tek crowd represent on this one, serious elektronik love for sure... definately already slotted in the top 10 of 2k6.... NICe ONe BROVaH

 Coolness: 64765 | RUSH totally blew off the whole place. Hard as nail, his set could totally destroyed pure concrete. Didn't hear a true TECHNO set like this since a long, long time... I was very surprised to hear how tight and clean his mixes were, compared to his last visit at the Sona few years ago. Also really liked "ROUND UP I want you to GET ON UP...Sit back down!!" on the mic... BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM muthafuckin bass in yo face! |

 Coolness: 44830 | Club soda is a spectacular place for events - minus the fact that all the smokers crammed up in the back. Besides that, everyone was pretty much everywhere on the dance floor.
Yaz did an excellent job warming up the crowd. he even got Rush to stand up on stage and get into the rhythm. Rush came on.. one word = SOLID. He didn't seem to give up, and as the crowd wanted more. he gave just that in return. You can tell he enjoyed himself.. and I'm sure he'll be back in a heartbeat given the opportunity. Pink: So glad to see her back for a return with RM. despite the nerves following such a hard set, she did a sweet job pulling through. She maintained the rhythm very well . awesome! And soon enough the time came to cross over to Aria to support our Xcube's first time behind their decks. and what a set it was!! showing no signs of being nervous he pulled it off. solid tracks after tracks.... the crowd did not let go. you did an awesome job bud!! He was born to spin at Aria. it seemed like just his place there. AlexBau - BY FAR on of the best sets ever. Most will underestimate him and his talent, and this is why such performances come as a shock. He's friendly, loves the people, loves what he does and mixes well with the crowd. I vibe and rhythm so smooth & well flowing. He amazed all of us this night. not if, but when he comes back, I will def. be there again. He truly, made RM18 a memorable experience. To everyone I had the chance to chat with, it was so nice to see you all once again. Un gros Merci a creator once again. dude, you really pulled it off this time. In my opinion, RM is like a bottle of wine, it only gets better with time! congrats! |
