Urban outfitters is lame.

To their credit though they didn't copy the image, just the idea. Sucks for johnny cupcakes :-/

Um, that's a pretty specific design. That sucks for him. At least he's exploiting the situation and getting mad recognition. He'll probably end up making more money out of it this way.

You can't copyright cupcakes falling from an airplane, but you have to admit that the designers OBVIOUSLY stole the idea from this guy.

do not say obvious.. Havent you ever had an idea and then someone was like DUde i had the EXACT SAME IDEA.. Ya know

Coincidences do happen.. I know a few people that work at that shitty shore.. I'm not saying they are good, Cuz i find it really does suck and it far too expensive, Jsut there is that possibility.

Well sure they might have copied them, but this isn't some invention or some crazy new thing. Unless he trademarked the muffin bomber, he's got no claim to the idea.

pretty much , and like i said, with the amount of humans on eather , We are bound to get similiar ideas.. especially when we are always trying to come out with the lastest trend.

Well, you stand a better chance of lighting hitting you 17 times in a row than the same IDENTICAL ideas happening to come to life a few weeks or months in different companies. ESPECIALLY after someone in the latter company sees the samples before.

I mean, hey, that would be pure lick now, wouldn't it. You can smell the stench of irony form here. :)

once i thought it would be cool to have a mini put styles pool table...

like u stand on the pool table, and putt the white ball instead of hit it with a pool stick... 2 years later i saw it in the canadian tire catalogue...!!!!

but what pissed me off much more, was when i dug in the crates like crazy, to find samples to make hip hop beats with, and then heard the exact same idea i had on the radio, on sum puffy combs remix bullshit...

same shit like my dj name. theres a million of them across north america

next thing you know, im gonna see DISCO SLUT t-shirts and hats in stores!

i agree that UO is expensive
if i buy anything it's always bargains from their sales section

i been wondering for a while if their stuff they sell is directly imported from their american distribution
thats why some of the prices don't make any sense sometimes
or are they really just marking shit up like crazy cause...its novelty and that wears off... thats why they put them on sales for so cheap afterwards

or is it both
can anybody confirm this?

wondering cause their prices in the states is cheaper comparativly

"can't it be both?" :-P

i think its both.

it is much cheaper in the states (like a necklace in the US was 25, in Canada it was 50), but its still expensive for what it is.
