Where to start... hm it was my first time at Le Chill, its a nice little place, comfortable sofas and nice paintings! So hmm i didn't see too many ppl there, 20-30 maybe? And was there a NO DANCING sign somewhere? because untill 4am , nobody really danced expect me, i mean cmon guys a little respect for the djs, get ur ass up and dance a little to each djs set even if its only 5 minutes... Noone danced when Miss Innocent played :( how sad... she came all the way from Vancouver and you guys couldn't even get up for a bit for her... anyways, i had a great time but i was way tooo tired to dance all nite :( the mixes i prefered was from Miss Innocent and Quantum Mind (did he play at around 7?) so yeah, i have some pictures to upload, and a small movie too!  Coolness: 148955 | ravedave, charles iznogood got on the decks around 7 (playing hardcore/DnB fucked up shit with really weird samples). missinnocent played until 3. mistoleum and toltech tagged until about 4:30, then mistoleum left and toltech was tagging with sarcastic.
ya well i cant say i was suprised considering that when Slobodan played at the chill nobody came, and that event was actually promoted heavily. it's unfortunate but only a very small crowd of people, mostly DJs producers or total nerds ( :) ) really like pure techno anymore in montreal, and they're not the type of people that do pills and dance until 8 in the morning. in all honesty, i dont think 95% of the "party scene" even knows what techno is. le chill is a decent space, not tooo far from downtown, with decent sound and an adequate mixing booth, but it's really not suited for a techno party, the psy art is a little too much for boring nerdy techno people, it's way too bright in there, making people uncomfortable and scared to dance. all of this would have mattered if people had actually come, but the chill's been around long enough now so that people no what it's about. it's unfortunate. anyways.. oct 21st, iznogood promises that he's gonna redeco the place so that it's completely brutal. thanks for coming out those that did. |

i understand that there arent many techno heads, nor i am, but im really open minded about music, and enjoy almost everything :) so i see that there was some changes in the line up, i didn't know Iznogood was playing (first time i heard/saw him) It was wicked, big up to all the djs who played! i also uploaded 7 pics, i know it isnt much but thats what i have lol 15mins video coming sooooooon so stay tuneddddd |

i used to go out to sona every friday, back in the techno heyday of montreal hahahah, and dance my shit off like a madman for hours, and everyone always assumed i was a speed freak.. so yes, important to clear that up for everyone. thanks liam 2.. see ya soon !! oct 13th level 4's SARCASTIC is back at le chill to raise money to buy boxes of cereal for kids and oct 21st looks like TOLTECH and SARCASTIC are back up in the chill again, so let's fucking do this.  Coolness: 145370 | it was really "Chill" to play Techno with Lalla 'cause well he doesnt very much nowadays 'cause he so versatile, niggah be hassled fo' da dem da dose breaks and that darn bluegrass dingdiggly-doo...hehehe I totally didn't know what the bluegrass lingo is.....oh yeah the booty bitches mmmhmmhmmh girl!
but seriously, it was fun to listen to him play Tek in it's pure format. I only got to say hello to Miss Innocent when I came in 'cause she didn't stay very long but I can understand.....I mean, she's use to well I guess I could go on but wtv....sucks for Mistoleum who had to leave 'cause he's on calls...guy was called to be up at work at 5am or some crazy shit like that....construction man! WTF?!... so yeah, we're apparently busting some more Tek at le Chill bientot.....hasta el 21st! |
