Still the same comment : lack of hypnotism, too much break it is seem that the deejay doesn't know how to beat to beat and switch kick by the low/kill knob(abd don't forget that ARIA platine have 2 cycleloop :lol so beating should be a joke with that) but on Metzen opinion, those ''dj'' are obligated to mix that way, but here's my opinion: ''hey DJ, listen to one of your set and try to dance on it, specially on all of those boring break= 1 minute of kick (beat) 30 second of break(musical part without kick): repeat that patern for an hour. SUCKS.
astral projection was nice, but same shit tho (AND LIVE P.A. here): lack of hypnotism! Bad parametrical disposition also: the frequency was pitch up so the high and the mid where screaming off the monitor like a roaring maniac beast. Their creation are nice tho, good music to listening while making my laundry. Oh and that remix of mahadeva was so far from being good, well what ever. I had a lot of comments on my moving style, and that's my pleasure. Is to see and hear those people pointing at me (some laugh, some applause, etc) when I dance on places like that : I still own the floor like nobody and those ginos/ginette where like ''OMFG look at this guy, he surely have snort 10 gram of coke!'' - Full parametric. after that sort of review I might look, once again, like a negative bastard. But don't get it wrong, I had fun and such experience won't be the last. ps: j'ai la grosse tête, big time! |

 Coolness: 194045 | Im too tired to go into toomuch detail but suffice it to say that Astral killed it, great performance and they're totally chill in person - told me most of what they played is pieces from the new album coming up. Had a nice philosphical chat with Lior, and Avi is a party animal, kept gaving me his red bull, hehe, awesome.
Vinny you totally rocked it man, musta been super stressful playing after astral and you were on fire. Congrats on a wikked major gig, you're going places man... for sure. Killer set bubbling with energy. Seing the crowd go nuts when I was in the dj booth was unreal, you really had the floor going bro. I still say you shoulda gave em a bonus track when they were stomping and clapping at 10:30 though :) |

| Coolness: 221785 | Yeah Zev.. i would have given them an extra two hours of bonus tracks, but the sound tech told me that the "people upstairs" didn't want any more music since it was so late already.. i'll know for the future to cut my set early to be able to play a bonus track at the end..
I had so much fun at this gig it was unreal.. Special thanks to Louis for putting his faith in the crew amd giving us these wounderful chances to share psytrance with such a different crowd. I was totally beat after my set, since i played for about 3:45 minutes.. My legs hurt from jumping around so much, my neck hurt from bopping around so much.. What a great crowd and what a great sound system. i think it was my best gig so far in my career and i hope its not the last time i step foot in that club to share my musical collection with everyone there.. Thanks Aria for opening up your minds to the psytrance sound. Thanks also to everyone who came to support me at this event and who stuck around till the very end.. you people know who you are and it mean's alot to me even if i sometimes don't express it as much as i should. Merci.. ! |

 Coolness: 52975 | First time back at Aria in a while. I had seen Astral Projection at a NICE event back in 98 or 99, and really liked it. They lived up to my expectations and played a good set. I'm really not into Psy trance, but I had a good time once I got myself into the mood.
I was surprised there were no visuals, ecpecially for these guys, they even have the word ``projection`` in their name? Anyways, I also thought their live set was kind of visually boring. Even if the entire set was pre-programed, a little tweeking and slider fading would have been nice. The djs before and after were good too. the mixes were quick, but the selection and flow was just right for the night. Big ups to the production company who put this thing together. |
