thing is, i have a feeling OSX will be coming to PCs, since 10.5 is slated to come out at the same time as Longhorn.. i think apple is thinking of competing with windows on PCs.. that'd be crazy. |

yesterday i was bored so i tried plugging in my soundblaster mp3+ usb soundcard into my mac just for fun.
i had the sound control panel open at the time. 0.5 seconds after i plugged the usb cable in the new inputs and outputs appeared on the screen.
i dunno bout you, but i gotta say that's fucking amazing plug and play, especially since soundblaster gives no claims that it even runs on a mac. :P |

| they chose Intel cause cause IBM was taking too long to make faster chips. IMB promissed 3.0Ghz chips by last year, but didn't make em. they also run too hot. they can't cram a G5 chip into a powerbook cause of the power consumption.

| If this can push Apple off their fucking pretentious high horse, I'm not gonna complain. Jobs ( and numerous apple users ) can be a real dickhead sometimes.
Well, one thing's for sure, when this gets done, no more debating on who's better between PCs and Macs. It's all gonna be run by the same standard processor.

| Well, even if they're all the same parts inside, if you compair the design of a G5 to say something dell is shipping, i'd have to say the G5 is far better.
(i'm not talking about speed, but cooling)
and i dunno if the "pretentiousness" is going to end, since jobs hasn't made any sort of indication that OSX is going to be available for PCs.. the only thing that's been said so far is that Mac's are going to have intel chips.. (thereby making everything except the mobo the same as a PC) |
