Who do u think lives more hours of there life in the long run?

a) sumone who gets 8-10 hours of sleep per night on average

b) sumone who gets 4-5 hours of sleep per night average

sumone who sleeps 4-5 hours a night technically would be awake for more hours of there life......than sumone who gets 8-10, but wouldnt sleeping 8-10 hours a night be healthier, and result in you living more years of your life?

what do u think?

It's all dependant one each individual's body's needs. Some people can function on 4-5 hours of sleep per night, and some people can't function unless they've had at least 8-10. I really doubt it has any effect on health. If the 8-10 hour a night sleeper is a fat, not-active, 5 pack a day smoker and an alcoholic, and the 4-5 hour a day person is a "healthy" vegan hippy who excercises all the time, they can both get hit by a car crossing the street.

haha, true true....

but lets just say, 2 twin brothers for example....who live the exact same life, eat the same, have the same smoking habits, work the same job, blah blah blah etc...

and never get struck by lightning or get hit by a car...

No matter how "identical" these twins may be, there are still a gazillion factors that can affect them each individually. I think it would only really apply if they were siamese twins.

Diffrent people have diffrent metabolisms and their body works all in diffrent ways. There's no real absolute for things like this.

i've known old dudes who've only slept 3hrs a night for 30yrs and they were fine....but instead of viewing this as "who lives longer" maybe look at it in terms of "who lives more". It's what you do with the hours cuz if you sleep a lot and live to be 120 but never leave your room, is it really living longer?

Most bodies need about 8hrs in order to repair and recharge.

yah but running on major and consistent lack of sleep can be stressful and unnerving as hell, and catches up with you when you least expect it

i speak from many years of experience... hehe

I never heard of someone "sleeping too much". The only people who actually have time to achieve this are in deep coma.

I suppose the one who would live the most would be the one who is conscious during his sleep. :P
Btw haven't you ever had that impression that time is stretched in a dream?
