the blackberry tablet is too small to do anything useful with comfortably. The Ipad is too big to be portable. Tablets will be good for consumers when they will small enough for everyday carry and have a screen that expands enuf to make them enjoyable to do things on.

Tablets are going to be a waste of money except for businesses who can actually use them to cut down on paper where I've seen cost savings estimates on the tune of .5-5k per year when used for paperless meetings and briefings.

Honestly...if Im gonna carry a tablet around, I might as well just carry my laptop around. The only people you're gonna see buying tablets for personal consumption these days are those that are sheep and easily brainwashed by our consumerist society.
I'm feeling a overhang right now..

What a stupid comment! Aren't you the one that say shit like "If you don't like a music genre, fine but don't drag it down.".

The black pad requires you to buy a blackberry phone to tether it to in order to use in on the internets....

The ads in the subway showing people's lap with an iPad are starting to get to me.
Then I remember the price. Meh! I'd rather get a netbook. Sure, they aren't as fancy, but I don't see what the iPad has that justifies paying double for less performance.

I'd get an iPad to use it as a Lemur Jazz Mutant which is a touch screen D.A.W controller that is waaayyyy to pricey for what it does (the lemur thing)

Since the product is not a "fichished" version, nothing say it will be the case at the end.

The launch show display some kind of fake "pad" no finla version is up and running for now...

And if you need more infos about the "fake pad" shown at the launch...

Im not knocking the ipad or apple. Or even the people that buy apple products. I'm knocking a large segment of the population who buy shit that they have no use for becuase of the someone tells them to buy it or theres lot of hype around the product.

I will go as so far to suggest 4 instances where ipad type devices will be useful:
1) Meetings and Seminars
2) Presentations
3) Reading
4) Service level employees - food service, hospitality, retail

Thats it. All of that is enterprise related. People who work go to meetings, make presentations and read lots. People who work in retail aren't in it for the fun.

Outside of that, its of limited use, and you can do what you want to do far better with a smartphone or laptop.

---

Obviously some people will buy this device, even though its far less convenient. But those people are idiots. And for the record, I think a lot of people are idiots, assholes and degenerates.

lol, that's a nice comment Gamos...

And by the way, those 4 "reasons" to buy are good if the price of the stupid pad is "not" expensive, because the price of paper is still cheap and more eco friendly than produce those electronics parts.
I'm feeling to be determined right now..
