Ya i guess so but i wouldn't use it, but now my ear is trained to hear the slightest infraction, no matter how small. I am a perfectionist when it comes to mixing tracks, so it has to be perfect for me That is, i will do it over and over again until it is flawless....

I can't wait to get my dj booth made already; all my gear is on the floor at my new place, waiting for my booth to be made!!!
I'm feeling stereo right now..

Mine will be specially made for my height cause i am really short with an upper kinda deck for my laptop and cdj's and lower deck is for my tables and the legs of the table legs are as wide as a vinyl so it is for storage!!

Can't wait

Debates we have right now about Djing, beatmatching, vinyls, Cds, laptop, sync are totally irrelevant (as long as you don't trainwreck, but a monkey could mix with CDs).

The new generation of DJs will be totally digital. They will never even consider buying a turntable, a CDJ, or even a mixer (as you can also use the software internal mixer).

There's only one thing that stays true to the art. You. Your work, your performance, your personality, your feelings, and your ability to build a flow, control your sound and your crowd. The rest are just tools.

Also, a DJ as to pull is ass out of bad every week-end in the middle of the night, even after 10-15-20 years. That is more than hobby. Even passion is not enough. It's just what you are.

nice set up yo. having a 3rd turntable is the bomb. at some point I have to get a 3rd deck again.

as far as home set-ups, this one was my favourite.. at my friend's loft in Toronto... Pioneer 600, two 1200s, two Pioneer 800s + these crazy speakers imported from Europe. the clarity of the sound was incredible. that was my all-time favourite place to mix. afterparties there were great

one of my favourite booths is the one at Salon-Daome (I've never played on it, just seen it). the mirrors above it are a nice touch.

back in Toronto, my favourite club set-up was the booth at the old Fez Batik. had 3 decks, CDJs, a Pioneer 600 plus a Vestax battle mixer. the best part of all though, was that it had it's own pimped out mini-VIP area... a leather couch by the decks, and a locking gate so nobody can walk in =)

The blonde likes you, Liam.

Hey so to put my two cents in again. There is no sync button, and Stereo is an expensive club that isn't necessarily worth the extra cost given the lack of variety in the music booked there. I doubt that drum and bass is absent from the club, but I don't think that the promoters see it as an active enough trend to turn profit. It's really that simple. Drum and bass has been around for a while and has been categorized characteristically as being less popular with the jet set. Honestly, sometimes you just know that a concept won't work in nightlife because it's obvious it's not what the proprietors and promoters are going for in their image.

Let's not mince words over it. The sound system might be totally fucking off the hook but it's that crazy because they book ridiculously huge names. Those of us who have what one might call niche tastes don't get our representation nor do we find any common interest with this sort of club and the lifestyle it promotes.
I'm feeling mighty frisky right now..
