OUR PLATFORM The world today is full of harsh battles and the people who live in Montreal are fortunate enough to not be a part of world disorder which has been occurring in the past few years. Most people are not educated about what is happening in the world and it’s our mission to show them in an interesting way. Montreal is known for its outdoor festivals and we propose bringing some of Montreal’s finest Electronic Talents in for a Dance Rally for Peace. We have the support of the following Disc Jockeys and would like to promote our event as a rally in order to show people who might not be interested in what is happening around the world about some of the things which are. We will have pamphlets with the basic ideas what terrorism is and how it affects us as well as a small information booth. In order to gather interest music will be played in a small area and we recommend people to show up and dance in support of peace instead of fighting. • Musicians and disc jockeys Bowzer (Andrew) [FROM OTTAWA] The Cheezemaker (Thierry Lavergne) Nymph (Noah Gitelman) Elmirod Neoform (Ian) Mutaka (Mike) Shalom Mike (Mike Hutkins) More to be announced… • Sound engineers These people are willing to donate their time, equipment, and talents free of charge for this worthy cause. We have also met with Constable Robert Brouillard of Station 20 (Ville-Marie Sud-Ouest), who was very enthusiastic about our idea and agreed to pledge his support in compliance with the city. However, in order to attain our goals, we need the support of City Hall, to provide us with the use of one of its public parks in the downtown core so that we may help those who need it most. DATE AND PROPOSED LOCATION OF EVENT Place du Canada Saturday, August 24th, 2002, 1pm to 11pm as the tentative date REQUIREMENTS • Permission to host this event at Place du Canada on August 24th, 2002 • The use of the electrical sockets located in the vicinity for the sound equipment We hope that as conscious minded people you will grant us these requests so that we may be able to educate and aid those in need.
