Coolness: 93655	Can taking E decrease one's long-term ability to love, sympathize and empathise with others? More generally, can it decrease one;s ability to make emotional connections with others?

Coolness: 685750	well, I'd imagine that you'd find it harder if you do a lot of E.. since you make so much of a connection with every random person you meet while you're tripping balls, you might start to get dependant on being on E to make connections, because "regular" ones won't feel as intense.

Coolness: 106275	Well, since there isnt any known cross tolerance between e and love... Empathy isn't something you can abuse and run out of, the more connectedness you encounter and genuinely feel, the easier it will be to remember and reproduce. If you have been emotionally damaged and have difficulty feeling and giving love, i suppose mdma could help you get over certain mental blocks. So it had been used in marriage counseling and psychotherapy until the U.S government decided to make it illegal. Abusing e, however, can most definitely nullify the positive effects mentioned above and create a whole new set of problems.

It makes it easier for you to open up to people and to feel compassion towards them, but it also makes you let go of any kind of attachment... the problem is that what most people call Love is a kind of attachment, of dependance to someone. E does make you feel better with people in general, but i think it prevents you to have a "love relation" with other people as they would expect it. Moreover, since you're not exactly on the same "wavelength" anymore, getting connections and emotional bounds with others can get more difficult.

Coolness: 106275	So many different things can prevent you from having a love relationship, and they mostly stem from a time before drugs ever became and issue. Drugs may even be a misguided way to look for love. In the end, there are as many ways to love as there are peoples, the important thing is to find someone with whom you shares a common or compatible definition.

And I also agree that it can be key to removing blocks towards love/sympathy/empathy in a most permanent fashion.
