got there to late to hear most of ghizzy P's set but what i did hear kicked my ass! i hope the guy goes live as offen as possible

amon tobin... started out a bit slow, very moody, very ambiant... the sound was great, the bass made my pants vibrate... I like. at the end it was some crazy assed drum and bass and reaaaal evil sounding idm...

place was fucking packed and shitloads of people just bouncing to the evilest sounds ever.... really quite surreal, I forgot i was in Montreal for a second

all in all, twas a great fucking experience!

ps... jazz?
I'm feeling like a killer robot right now..

sound was indeed good and some of the surround stuff was neat but i wished he had played more jungle. there were a few moments of it which got my head nodding but for the most part it was downtempo beats. still you can't really front on Amon. some pretty wicked sound design stuff in there too.

caught a bit of Ghislain, really wasn't into his MC, but chris olsen on drums was amazing as always. i felt so proud for my old buddy dj crispian when he stood up at the end and everybody went nuts.

yeah... have to agree that most of tobin's stuff really isnt the most dancefloor intensive stuff... dont really understand how people were bouncing to it so much.... wtv still just enjoyed sound

it's obviously personal but in fact i really like amon's newer productions, which are completely NON dancefloor, and i'm always frustrated by how manic and overdone his dj sets are.. in the end i think tobin's errr, appeal definitely illustrates the chasm between "dj" and "producer".
