| Yeah, real criminals are actually dangerous and might hurt them. It's easier to go after the defensless using poor excuses of laws. All they do now is keep people from challenging the government and standing up for their own (and other people's) rights.

| Most private detectives in Canada are ex-cops, afaik. I don't think it is very easy to get into that line or work unless you have worked in the police system. |
