Thanks for the 411 Fred =) Host I agree...
Found this while snooping around.. [ www.youtube.com ] ...pretty dope. Not sure if scratching on this level qualifies as mixing tho, seems closer to producing.
I'm feeling ambivalent right now..

Come on now people, hating on psytrance is old school.

What's up with this childish behaviour all of a sudden ?

Why is there a need for jungle dj's to hate psytrance ? And vice-versa ?

I'm all for constructive criticism, but this kind of behaviour migh be unhealthy for all concerned.
I'm feeling mantastic right now..

That's an easter egg from the DVD.. It's really well set up, the scratches are listed in order of difficulty, and how it goes is, there's a 1-2 minute esplanation, where he walks you through the history of that particular scratch, who used it first, who defined/refined it, shows you a slow-version to explain, and then the disc goes on a loop, him doing the scratch for 1 bar, then pausing for 1 bar so you can do it, then another variant of the same scratch, etc..

You can also use the angles on your DVD player to switch what you're looking at. Instead of just looking at him scratching, you can focus on his record hand or his mixer hand to see what he's doing. There's also a few practice scratch battles where he's dressed up in funny costumes and you can battle with him to practice. If you're interested inscratching, the video is absolutely a must-own/
I'm feeling fat and sassy right now..

to go back a page, when you mentioned craze being the top of "your" genre, i admit that hes fuckin crazy good, but why do you say the top of the psy genre, or trance for that matter is tiesto. you want to make fun of the music, go ahead, but learn about it first. its very easy to make un of something when you know absolutly nothing about it....fuckin tiesto where did you get that information

Also I think it's because the exposure of the music is rapid that no one really gets a chance to review and see what they like out of everything they hear...it's hard to pick the music you love...it's a labour that all Dj's must go through in order to become successfull, we need producers and they need us...and there is no harm in making the music yourself after a while, its the nature of the beast...except it's up to us not to just put out wtv the fuck we want because WE think it sounds good, we need outside opinions and thats only gained with time.

The expo's dont exist reggie, you just wanna battle your socks off...and that's completely understandable, standards these days have shown that the average Dj WILL NOT accept a battle challenge because they just simply aren't ready...it's up to us not to tell shitty Dj's that they're good.
