Glowsticks you can look away but whistles just wreck the music and there is no way to avoid hearing them unless you block your ears therefore defeating the purpose of going to a party to begin with OR you pound make the person slowly their whistle slowly and painfully. |

I prefer 10 glowsticks to a f*cking bongo and 40 glowsticks to a f*cking whistle if you ask me.  Coolness: 166795 | les glowsticks c'est pas si inoffensif que ca en fait, tse attaches a une corde ca devient une arme dangereuse. genre quand tu veux juste passer et que tu dois faire cinquantes detours pask y'a du monde qui pensent que raver c'est prendre un speed et faire tourner des glowsticks au bout d'une corde... hehe, en tout cas. j'me mettrai pas a bitcher, le monde font ce qu'ils veulent... mais personnellement j'aime pas la perspective de me faire assommer par des glowsticks. :p
en plus c'est de la pollution inutile. maudite societe de consommation qui achete des trucs pour avoir l'air plus cool et qui les jette le lendemain matin pask sont pu bons. c'est pas d'avoir des glowsticks ou non qui determine le fun qu'on a dans le rave, alors autant eviter le gaspillage... non? en plus pour la plupart ceux qui ont des glowsticks dans les mains sont tellement occupes a les tenir qu'ils oublient de danser. raving & dancing is all about letting go, not about holding stuff! ;) |

baby ravers always bring all kind of gadgets to parties to heightened their rave experience (:angry glow sticks , weird toys, drums, whistles, et cetera...). En revanche, all those gimmicks are superficials. all you need are comfy clothes and a water bottle. (and maybe some extra clothes for the morning). |

 Coolness: 145115 | What makes me laugh is all those people who buy glowsticks and just hold them in their hands, without doing anything with them.
But they can`t be as worse as those people doing poi in the middle of a crowded dancefloor. As for whistles, they can be fun if used at a proper time, in happy hardcore party, like Tipsy said. That means that everyone blows their whistle at the same time, when the mc calls for it. I've seen it at hullabaloo, and it does bring a very cool vibe. |
