Non M-Audio Sound Card Ideas

I'm looking to get a semi-decent sound card for my PC, but i havent been in the industry in a few years. I used to use a dalta 44, but i really hate m-audio's drivers, and just the functionality of the card doesn't do it for me. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions for an alternative? I was looking at the focurite saffire le [ www.moogaudio.com ] I know the brand as I've used their hardware, but i don't know how well they do software etc. | |

I had an mBox-2, it was OK but nothing compared to Motu's and the likes.
If 300$ is your range, it's looking like m-audio might be one of your only choices, unless you're buying used on eBay....ideally you should go for something like this, I was turned onto this one not long ago...only exception is that they cost close to 1500$ new and like 1299$ used. :/ [ www.rme-audio.de ] |
