Anyone know any place that's good for fixing / cleaning laptops? My laptop is starting to freak out, and I wanna take it in to get pulled apart and cleaned. Worse case scenarion i'll need the onboard vid card replaced in a few months too.

So if anyone knows a place that's good for laptops, please tell me. I've got a toshiba satellite if that helps too.

Thanks
Ryan

he said "pulled apart and cleaned", but reinstalling windows is always the best place to start when your comp is just acting "funny".

and "freaking out" usually means spyware.

"protection" is overrated. you need at least 5 or 6 different programs to clean out fully all viruses and spyware. Norton doesn't detect shit unless its some lame virus that was on cnn the night before to freak out old people

Than defragment your hard drive, and if it's still looks really fragmented, re-install windows, but this time group file types together, instead fo mixing everythign up.

H.D's are bound to get over-fragmented and slow down after time.

Why you think it's cause of hardware though? I can understand how dust might clog up your fans, but other than that it shouldn't affect your hardware too much.. my computer looks like chewbawca inside and it runs like a dream.
