iTunes phone: Available in the US today with Cingular and due to hit globally by the end of September the iTunes Phone (Motorola ROKR) features an iTunes client inside. The phone has quad band GSM, camera, 100 song capacity and instant access to iTunes. [ www.apple.com ]

Harry Potter iPod: Available today the latest addition to the iPod family is the "potter pod". The iPod has the crest engraved on the back and Apple are exclusively distributing Harry Potter audio books via the iTunes Music Store. [ www.apple.com ]

iPod nano: Available today Jobs has announced a new flash based iPod Mini. neuro: why isnt 4 gig sufficient? The time it takes between charges is not close to enough for playing 4gig of music. Also, its 4gig FLASH. imagine the costs of making a 20-30-40gig flash based mp3 player

Personally. I bought this:

and i love it. Its small, it has all the features a mp3 player should have, its 'cheaper' than ipods shuffles, it is a usb drive, so no need for drivers or i-fuckin-tunes, it has oled display (energy efficient), fm radio, voice recording, chrages when i transfert songs, 1gig, and yes, 1 gig is way enough. When its out of battery (12 hours), i plug it in, copy songs, and when i'm done copying, its already 1/3rd charge, if i live it another hour its full.

Also, it does not scan your computer for personnal information and does not send information back to [ apple.com ] like the shuffle, the mini or the ipod.

The only drawback for now is that the cord is small, and you wear it like a necklace. I would have liked a longer cord so i could put it in my pockets. On the other hand, having it so visible gets ppl curious and i get alot of questions about it, especially from girls, so its a plus!

P.S. : I bought the american version on ebay, the canadian one was gimped, no fm radio, no voice record, usb 1.0 (wtf) and 230$ of our finest canadian dollars at la source CC, formerly known as radio scrap

I think it's a cheap attempt at more attention and consumers wallets... wana impress all, throw in a 5000gig mem card , fm/am tuner with a record option for over 5hrs of recording(record radio or line-in)... and a signal despenser that you can tune into it with your car radio so you don't need an external add on, then you'd be talking future! This newer slimmer version is perfect.... for flushing down the stupid toilettttttt - and don't you think that peeps are taking this weight loss thing a little too far in consumer gaga-land? I mean seriously, this nano ting could give most pocket calculators serious overweight issues!

Ufot-breeding little plants that were actually funguy then eating them?

Suuuuuuure. For a mere 1500$ it would. I want an MP3 player, not some shit I'd have to get insured and cry for a month straight if I lose it.

And after that new gadget, give it about a few weeks or so and people will bitch and whine at how it's missing gold-plated RCA jacks, ONLY 72h battery life, and how it just not possible for the thing to suck your dink while you're at it.

It's an MP3 player, people. Get over it. Heh.

It should've been : " This newer slimmer version is perfect.... for me to POOP on ! "

and don't you think that peeps are taking this weight loss thing a little too far in consumer gaga-land? I mean seriously, this nano ting could give most pocket calculators serious overweight issues!

Indeed, size can be an issue but WEIGHT ? It's too heavy to carry ? Could've been worse : not too long ago, the only portable MP3 player was a mofo'ing LAPTOP ! How's that for weight ? LOL !

no, 2-4gigs is perfect.. it's not possible to listen to all the music you can store on it on one charge anyway.
Having more is useless if you have more than 20-40gigs of music anyway.. it's not like you could put all your music on there anyway..
