Clown, the reason you think the art sucks is because you're not used to old school american-style alternative comics. Most people only know the mangas and the japaneese and the disney-style animations nowadays.... But there's some pretty interesting classics mae with this kind of animation. I myself liked Aeon flux for it's complete fucking weirdness. My friend introduced me to it, and while at first i didn't think it made any sense, towards the end of the tapes he had, i completely understood the vision, and i found it brilliant. Basically, Aeon flux ( the comics) are all about the mindfuck. Yeah, what you posted makes me reminds me a lot of THE MAXX and those other weird MTV shows from the Odyssey... or oddities... Whatever, all those shows were odd, one way or another. The Maxx, for example, had very particular (even weird) way of being written. For the first six-or-so episodes, I understood fuck all... but once you get into it, you begin to appreciate everything it's made of. As for how it was animated and drawn... i'm an all-around fan of any type of comic and animation, so whatever seems new and different to me, gets me excited. |
