WARNINGS ON OXYCONTIN
Two federal agencies appear to be of different minds about the powerful
painkiller OxyContin. The Drug Enforcement Agency said 464 people have died
over the past two years of drug overdoses in which OxyContin may have
played a role. But the Food and Drug Administration said it did not see a
risk thus far to those properly using the narcotic.
