READER NOTICES THAT POLICE KNOW IT ALL

Dear Editor:

Until I read the article Cops follow skunk smell (North Shore News,
April 3) I did not realize that the police were such experts at
estimating home repairs, fire hazards, and promoting unsubstantiated
theories on drug use. It is now clear why it would be a waste of their
valuable time and skill protecting citizens by patrolling the streets
or investigating violent crimes and thefts.
