DEPUTIES GAVE WRONG MESSAGE ABOUT DRUGS

Recently I called the Shelby County Sheriff's Department to report two
people smoking marijuana across the street from my house. When the deputies
arrived, they held the pair for a few minutes and then released them.

How can anyone say there is a war on drugs? These people were blatantly
smoking pot in the front yard. Eight children under the age of 9 live close
by, yet the deputies took no action. Public service announcements tell you
to report such activity, but when you do the authorities do nothing.

Thanks to the Sheriff's Department, eight children could have seen people
smoking pot right in front of them and then seen the offenders let go. How
am I supposed to help fight this war on drugs in my neighborhood without
help from the police?
