SUPERVISORS PRAISED FOR MARIJUANA STANCE

Regarding "County is balking on medical marijuana" (News, Nov.
2):

It is about time.

I have been following this medical marijuana issue with its
dispensers, caregivers and identification cards for over four years.
It is the wrong way to do this.

I want to applaud the three county supervisors who finally took a
stand on this issue. I know it will result in lawsuits and not hold up
in court, but sometimes you have to stand up for what is right.

I admire each supervisor for sending a message to his or her
constituency that they are doing what is right for their community. If
the public knew all the facts concerning this issue, people would
understand why their representatives voted the way they did.

By the way, do you live near one of over 18 marijuana dispensaries
already in San Diego County? If you don't have one near you, just
wait, because more are coming. You do know they are not regulated. How
are these dispensaries going to affect the quality of life for you and
your children?
