PROHIBITION'S LESSON
James Ransom (Opinion, Nov. 8) seems unaware of what happened when
alcohol prohibition was repealed.
Widespread violence and massive corruption among politicians and
police officers vanished virtually overnight.
Ransom also seems unaware of the existence of the organization Law
Enforcement Against Prohibition: www.leap.cc.
LEAP has many members currently or previously employed in the
law-enforcement industry, including Larry Campbell, the mayor of Vancouver.
