DFO FISHING FOR DRUG-FREE YOUTHS

Department of Fisheries and Oceans is fishing for drug-free youths at
County Line Elementary School this week.

In a new partnership, DFO offficer Neil Jensen has been talking about
the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program to grade 5 students
for the past 10 weeks, and on Dec. 1 at 2 p.m., the class graduates.

A note he received in the comments box said, "I love DARE because of
you."

He said he has been touched by this and similar responses from
students: "I didn't realize how the experience would be so life
enriching for myself personally.

It's a partnership between DFO, Langley RCMP and Langley School
District and by the end of thee school year about 1,500 students will
have participated in the program in Langley. It teaches youths to take
charge of their own lives.
