DRUG DEALER GETS A CANADIAN BREAK
Re: "Drug dealer's sentence cut to avoid deportation," Dec. 14.
What is wrong with Canadian immigration officials? Are they afraid
this immigrant drug dealer is taking away business from B.C.'s bud dealers?
In 1992, this man was convicted of a weapons offence (even his lawyer
said it was drug-connected). He pleaded guilty and was ordered
deported in 1995. He appealed and was reinstated as a "permanent
resident" in 1998. It is now 2005, and he has again been granted
another immigration hearing.
Is there something I don't see in this scenario?
