CALIFORNIA SHOULD LEAD THE WAY

So what if there is a contradiction between state and federal law
concerning nondiscrimination laws? Do we really have to wait for the
federal government to change their policies on cannabis use before we
do? California is the driver of social change, and it is our duty to
defend our freedom and the rights granted to us by our state.

In regard to cultivation, once it's legal, who will care about where
marijuana is grown? The point is that safe and easy access will drive
down drug-related crime. If you can pick an apple from a tree in your
backyard, why not a bud off a pot plant?

Finally, maybe it's not such a great idea to let people smoke
marijuana in a moving vehicle, but then again, what are the statistics
for marijuana-related vehicular accidents? Zero. I'll tell you what's
wrong with this bill. Californians won't be able to consume outdoors.
But marijuana users have been skirting misguided drug laws for years.
What's one more?
