EXPERT SHOULD CONSIDER CRACK HOUSE ON HIS LAWN

Re: 'SFU expert calls for crack-inhalation facility in Nanaimo' (Daily News,
July 27)

I think Mr. Fischer's recommendations would be much more credible if
he were to open a room in his home, or at the very least allow me to
place a trailer on his front lawn for a trial crack center.

Assuming that his family and neighbours raise no objections after a
trial period of say, two years, we could open a much larger
crack-inhalation facility in the main library of the Simon Fraser
campus, this location would surely provide the "calmer, safer and
healthier environment while they are using."

I have always found that if I want to encourage my children or
employees to engage in a certain activity, I should make it as easy as
possible.

After all, anyone knows if you want to attract vermin to your backyard
you should provide them with a safe environment where they can cavort
with others with similar interests.
