TRAFFICKING LAWS NEED CHANGES

Editor:

The solution to the problems our society is faced with, due to the
growing hard drug problem is simple. The problem would disappear if
the drug sources were eliminated.

One way to eliminate or reduce the source of drugs is to change the
laws that now exist regarding trafficking.

1. Anyone caught in the distribution of hard drugs would be kept
incarcerated until their trial date. No bail would be possible.

2. When their trial date came, the charges would be similar to
'contributing to murder.' After all, they are killing our society.

3. Minimum time spent in jail would be five years for street dealers
to 20-plus years for anyone involved at a higher level. Release from
jail, after their minimum sentence, would be entirely dependant on the
sincerity, and completion of their rehabilitation program.
