CANNABIS IS DANGEROUS

So 'Pinkies Protest' has been and gone and nothing has changed. Am I
surprised? Not at all!

If anyone needed proof that cannabis was dangerous this was
it.

A proponent of cannabis use, who likes to call himself 'Pinky' thought
that the Home Secretary, who is responsible for national security,
would instantly overthrow an Act of Parliament, just because he had
organised a party in Redditch... That sounds like an idea thought up
by someone who has lost their grip on reality? 'Pinky' and his friends
might think that cannabis is OK and does no harm - but they
conveniently forget the people who have suffered cannabis psychosis
and those who have been left with permanent mental health problems
from using it. Not to mention the accidents caused by people who have
driven cars or operated machinery while under its influence.

I don't doubt that it can be used for medicinal purposes but so can
arsenic and radioactive isotope. Being useful for some purposes does
not mean an item should be freely available.

Perhaps 'Pinky', when he has come down to earth, might like to do
something useful with his organising abilities. Like raising funds for
or volunteering to help run a worthwhile charity.

Who knows he might even get such a kick out of it he might find that
cannabis is an inferior dangerous substance that, if it is mis-used or
gets into the wrong hands, can do untold damages to whole families.
Maybe he would like to come and visit the people that I know who are
permanently unable to live a normal life as a result of using this
drug.

By the way, inhaling any smoke is hazardous to your health - and that
is internationally accepted.
