I salute The Capital Times for your September 17, 1997 editorial "Let's
separate health, politics".

Medical Marijuana is long overdue for Wisconsin. I should know because I
was at the Capitol for a similar rally in 1978 or 1979, lobbying for
similar legislation. Glaucoma patient Robert Randall was present; he was
one of the first patients to legally receive medical marijuana from the
government. As a glaucoma patient myself, I was happy to meet Mr. Randall,
and full of hope that I might soon get my medicine legally.

It's now 1997. I'm still waiting!

It was an inspiration to join the Journey for Justice participants at the
Capitol, and I hope their journey does not go unnoticed by our legislators.
How long must we wait? Show some political courage! Please let doctors
decide how to treat patients, not politicians!
