SKY WON'T FALL BECAUSE OF POT RULING

Re Terry Parker's medical marijuana court victory (Judgment hailed as
'major step forward', Dec. 12). Here's a prediction.

For a while at least until the case is appealed by the Crown medical
marijuana will be legal in Ontario. The sky will not fall.

Airline pilots will not rush to intoxicate themselves before climbing into
the cockpit. Adolescents will not take up pot smoking in greater numbers.
Hospitals will not fill up with marijuana addicts.

Doctors will not write thousands of false prescriptions for legions of
cannabisaddled hippies.

And, if Parliament goes further and actually legalizes the demon weed?

Wel, I don't know ... but that sky looks pretty sturdy to me.
