CANCER PATIENT CONVICTED
A terminally ill cancer patient says he'll keep on smoking marijuana to
ease his pain, despite being convicted yesterday of drug charges. Mark
Crossley, 38, of Noel, N.S., pleaded guilty in provincial court to growing
marijuana for his personal use. He was given a four-month sentence to be
served at home, followed by 18 months probation. Crossley was also ordered
to perform 120 hours of community service.
