TEST TORIES FOR DRUGS
Re Welfare drug test plan sets off storm, Nov. 15.
It seems to me that if we are concerned about who uses what at public
expense, we should be testing members of the Ontario Legislature for drug
and alcohol consumption.
Why target only the very poor? The fat cats who sit in Queen's Park have a
great deal more money to indulge in their favourite escape mechanisms than
the poor.
And from recent pronouncements, one must draw the conclusion that many are
under the influence on a regular basis.
