talk about an epic start to a new year!
dec 31st is going to be a blue moon!

i just spent the past 3 hours stitching together a record purse for my little sister.. i feel like one of santa's elves! hehe

i didn't make it home for xmas last year, so this year is doubly special for me! i told my parents all i wanted was a big turkey dinner at home! gobble gobble!

this will be my last wednesday out for awhile since i'm heading home to halifax for the holidays!

last movie i saw was 'a serious man'
i found it really boring in places, but really funny in others.. enough so that overall it all evened out and i'd say it was ok.
before going to see that movie though, my friend made me watch the coen brother's "the big lebowski"..,. i don't know if i missed something, or if i was just too stoned for it.. but when the movie was finished the only thing i could think of to say was "all i really want to do right now is go bowling!" haha

made : went to the 'a softer world: second best isn't so bad" book launch
made: bought an amazing stone chess set for my friend's xmas gift. (it's gorgeous and perfect and i had been looking for a very long time for just the right one and was scared i would run out of time and have to settle for something shitty)

also made: bought my bus ticket to go back to halifax for xmas. (not leaving til the weekend, but wanted to make sure the money didn't get spent.. ah the days of living paycheck to paycheck are not over yet)

my tattoos are all very simple..

this was lots of fun! soo crowded though, made it hard to dance.

it was cool to see the video set up with the m-audio trigger finger.. i've always heard about that piece of gear being used for things other than music - but had yet to see it in action! looked like so much fun to play with (i used to live with someone who had their trigger finger set up with ableton live, wicked fun to mess around with)

ah, i honestly didn't look too far into it. (obviously).
i guess it's not AS bad as her donating directly.. i still have zero interest in the books/movies anyway

i can't believe how many people are into this whole twilight thing.. and to top it off the author is a crazy mormon and donates alot of money to anti-homosexuality groups

i've heard reports (and i'm saying heard, i'm not putting 100% faith in these) that without stephanie myer's donations proposition 8 in california never would have been brought to ballot let alone had a chance to pass (this was the ruling that made gay marriage illegal in california)

ah, i recall trying to sleep one day while a roommate of mine was listening to happy hardcore.. after an hour i finally went "WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE THE SAME SONG ON REPEAT???" and apparently it was actually a "mix" that had played at least 20-30 songs before i had said anything..

moral of the story, happy hardcore all sounds the same to me, and it makes my head hurt.

i'll have to check the show out..

as much as i LOVE alice in wonderland.. i am so not excited about the new tim burton/johnny depp remake. i think sweeny todd just made me lose all hope in either of them. johnny depp used to be an incredibly talented actor who took on a wide variety of roles and i thought he was awesome for it.. but now he's another type cast. as for tim burton... i like it better when he sticks to original stories - edward scissorhands, big fish - rather than destroying other people's masterpieces.
