But still, I really take advise of people who are more into it than me as good advise. I'm not going to do the exact same thing than other. But advise still a good way to improve. And since i've fuck arround for some time now, I was wandering, what could be the best to start in a more professionnal. Anyways, I heard very good advise ,thank all of you, I got the best point, you can work with whatever you have. Well, I find it nice that some of you nicely produce with basic thing.

Pirate VST's + Pirate Cubase = unstable hell

I've already saw that, fuc*$5 unstable! Thats why im going to buy my thing. I want to deal with the creation, not cumputer bugs :p

For the midi controler I already have at home a Roland Fantom-Xa, so I may use that as controler or synth.

I like the idea: try before buy, VST are expensive, and buying some that will finally got useless is a good way to waste my cash. But I want to use only legit thing. I read a lot of review on new VST, and its helpfull to find some that may be usefull. Which VST are you using the most, or you find the most usefull? (Or its a producer secret?)

I know I have the motivation, i've always been with music arround me, from playing piano younger and composing my own tracks for a band I use to play, now I decided to produce, music production is far the most interesting thing. Thats why I dont really care about money because I want to start to build my own "studio". I want to go professionnal. I already know how to work on cubase and most VST. I still need pratice on the mastering side thought. But the fact that ive been creating thing for the last 5-6 years give me an idea that im going to do the right things.
Its just that i'm always unsatisfied with the sounds quality, so I want to get the equipement that will help me build nice mastered tracks.

I wanna produce Trance/Hard dance track for sure. As what I mix [ www.mediafire.com ]

get some referency monitor and a not-so-bad sound card (300$)

About the sound card. I think its better going with external one?
Any sugestion with monitor?

I'll sure start with software. thanks for the advise. Hardware sure cost a lot. But i'm glad to see we can reach a good sound quality with software. I'm looking to go Mac with Logic. Do you think a laptop can do the job or Desktop is necessery? I want to go with professional equipement. I dont want anything that will lag when I run all the plug-ins and VST. I already have a PC with 3ghz and 1,5 gig ram.. And it run slow Cubase 3 and its laging when I have to many effects on my tracks.

I'm looking to start producing my own tracks. But everywhere a look it seems there is two different school: some says that software can do whatever hardware can, some says that hardware are essencial?

And you, who already produce, what do you think : Hardware Vs. Software
