On the menu this Tuesday will be Sarcastic (Level 4 Productions) along with Miss Bijoux (Xing/Montpellier, FR). Hope you’re ready for this!

Founder of Montreal-based underground electronic music pantheon Level 4 Productions, Sarcastic has contributed to the subculture's cabalistic causes on many levels for the past decade as label manager, DJ, producer, promoter and music critic. Lengthy local residencies have seen Sarcastic spinning anything from pure tek, minimal and experimental techno to acid, breakbeats, DnB, booty, house and tek-house; recently championing the “vinyl” movement, Sarcastic is even known to work classic rock, funk, hip hop, trip hop, blues, jazz and bluegrass into his carefully programmed DJ sets.

Since 1998, Miss Bijoux has always been known for spinning beats which are nothing short of bursting with emotion and energy. Currently a resident at Villa Rouge as well as regularly djing in southern France, she’s known for her interesting and original track selections everywhere she goes.

Telephunk : the coloured soul of electronic music

Last offshoot in Montréal’s well established electronic music scene, Telephunk is kicking off its third month of

residency at Salon Daomé. Each Tuesday, the walls of the lounge-like locale echo and reverb with the muffled, and

luscious sounds of the eclectic creative duo, Soundshaper and Nathan Burns. With many dazzling

performances in the guise of Microzoo under their belt (Ghostly, Hush Hush, Extrawelt…) and a gutsy style best

epitomised in their sterling performance at Piknic Electronik this summer, the pair wanted to take their brainchild a

little further.

From the onset, our residents have come across as a close-knit entity, weaving their intricate skills that reflect

both the technical ease and the wide scope of their collective musical influences. Outgrowing the usual, run- of-

the-mill electro-minimal fad, another byword for Montreal’s underground party circuit, the duo strive to delve into

the richness of past forsaken sounds to lace their sets with vitality and freshness. Therefore, stepping into their

sonic world becomes a journey one can and will easily embark on.

In that spirit of warmth and joy that pervades le Salon Daomé, the Telephunk team wants to support the local

DJs and prop up their talents too. In a pursuit ot sharing vibrations and gaining momentum among the dancers

and partygoers around , Telephunk defines itself as a multifarious gathering willing to expand more and more.

The official launch on November 7th at Salon Daomé, will aim precisely at that. Besides, our reckless tag team,

will join in Yaz, Ernesto and Maus, behind the decks to purvey top-notch entertainment and spread the word.

Yaz, DJ veteran who shuns the limelight and reinvents constantly his mixing style.

Ernesto Ferreyra, Montreal’s adoptive child but argentinian born, is the proud artist of the sought after duo

Chic Miniature, funky tech live combo known internationally.

Maus, currently at the helm of Aria, is a multifaceted talent, recognised both on the local and global scale.

You are all welcome.

Microzoo is proud to present Ghostly International’s Lusine with Spectral Sound’s Ryan Elliott. Undeniably one of Montreal’s most anticipated artistic celebrations of this summer; you can expect nothing short of a unique experience.

Starting off the night with a medley of mood setting teasers, will be local DJ Soundshaper (Microzoo / After), one of Montreal’s finest. With the sensitive ears of a mad genius, his tasteful performances are always appreciated by all his fans. This is evidently an intro you don’t want to miss.

Following up will be Ghostly International’s esteemed Lusine (Jeff McIlwain), one of the finest electronic music producers from our neighbor country. His lush interpretation of IDM is known to swathe your senses by coalescing spellbinding cerebral sounds. Be sure to reserve your spot for one of his unforgettable live performances, filled with experimental creativity and melodic abstract sounds.

With their beautifully crafted beats, Chic Miniature, composed of Guillaume Coutu (Canada) and Ernesto Ferreyra (Argentina), will keep the vibe flowing with a warm live performance that will leave you asking for more. Together, they effortlessly deliver internationally inspired uplifting tech-house with a funky feel, pleasing crowds all around the globe.

Having recently played at Sonar in June 2006, we are privileged to welcome Spectral Sound’s skillful Ryan Elliott. Well reputed for his late-night performances using nothing less than 3 decks, multiple sound sources and outboard effects, get ready to groove to fresh tracks and surprises that will make you sweat!

Finally, Microzoo’s own Nathan Burns will team up with Soundshaper to keep you moving until the sun comes up. Famous for their early morning soul soothing beat sessions, they promise to wrap up this celebration with a bang.

Throughout the celebration, Lattakeuse Dimage will enthrall us with their renowned live painting sessions to flavor your sensory experience. For those of you who are not familiar with this phenomenal collective, you are definitely in for a treat. Electronic visuals will be provided by internationally known VJ Cinetik and his guest.

Sound will be provided by Audiotech Sonorisation creators of the brand new Orpheus sound system, built right here in Quebec. Orpheus has gained national notoriety throughout its existence for being the only system of its kind in world. You must hear it to believe it.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Cheers
