A brief bit about myself.
My name is John and I go by the dj name of Khemlab. I'm from Winnipeg. I play everything Techno. I've been playing for about 7 years now and have opened for Judge Jules & DJ Dan, played alongside Ronski Speed, Marco V and BK.

This will be a road trip tour and I will be in the Upper Eastern US and Lower Eastern part of Canada, so getting to any gig in that area wont be difficult.

Agreed... we try it here in Winnipeg... and its good for a couple weeks.. then its dead and dying.

gotta have the major pull... if you're not willing to spend $, you're not willing to make $.

Now I don't get to play here much anymore cuz there isn't much going on... cuz... as mentioned... you gotta spend $ to make $ and no one is spending any $ so there are no gigs. :(

The Concervatives had a Press Release that outrightly accused the NDP, Liberals (and I think), the Bloc... of "supporting child pornography"

THIS IS SHIT!
A party that would suggest things like this, is NOT a party that should be elected to Government!

It was not to long ago that the Concervatives also accused the Liberals of... "killing hundreds of homeless people" by cutting back on some programs. Which... again.. although the programs being cut back on, may have had an impact on homeless people, did not "KILL" them.

This is pathetic. and I can't believe people in Canada can even support this crap!!!!

I'm having some troubles getting the profile to show in the dj profile section of the site.

I have the profile done... if you search for khemlab you'll see it, but if you look in the ravewave djs dj profile section under K... its not there.

Any suggestions?

They aren't there to run a government. They are there to get a seat and have their voice heard in the house.

Lets clear a few things before continuing...

Free Vote - A Vote in the house of commons that when requested, must be voted on right then and there obviously providing it is part of a bill that ANY MP can put forth.

1 person out of the someodd 300 mps in parliment can have an opinion, and subsiquently... put forth a bill to the house, then request a free vote... and what I didn't mention above was that if passed it can not be appealed.

What is this suggnificant?

"We will put the definition of marriage to a free vote so that it is voted upon by the people you elect, not the judges whom the government appoints," he said to cheers from the crowd. -

That is a quote from Mr. Harper...

What this means...
If you are a gay person or have gay friends, and you respect their decission to marry, 1 single MP can put forth a free vote and if passed, your friends no longer that the right to marry.

This is a Right protected in the Charter that is upheld by Law.

300 members of parliment are not the Law.
They are people with their own opinions.
(Yes, this means a member of parliment that may be a biggit, can very well vote yes simply because he may hate gay people, which may have nothing to do with the right to marry)

Let the Citizens of Canada decide if same sex marriages should be allowed. Well.. the citizens have spoken already, and that is why THIS right is protected in the charter...

Don't let 300 some odd people Change this.

The Judges... appointed by the governemt are still Judges that must uphold the law, and there for the Charter that we charrish so much in this county.

On another note... I feel that yes a lot of Canadians are pissed that the liberals did what they did.

That is a fair opinion.

But change for the sake of change is not always the best option. And in this case, this change is based on rebelion. And do you really wanna start mixing politics with religion even more so then they already are?

I'm not willing to put my life on it. Or the well being of my friends.

Also, look at what GOOD the liberals have done for Canada... sure health has sucked the passed years but, the deficiate is now taken care of, and the economy has grown.

Now with a growing economy, and a major cash infusing on health care... the economy can grow, and so can the health care at the same time!!!

Everyone in life, tends to focus more on what has gone wrong... and let the things that have gone well.. pass by the way-side.. WAKE UP PLEASE!!

Another note...

Harper said in the debate that the (air)"craft" carriers would be used for helicoptors.
1. We already have ships that can helicopters can land on.
2. Ever heard of the Galaxy? Its a massive Aircraft that can hold like 8-10tanks.. I'm sure it can hold enough helicopters to transport accross seas as needed... at probably 10x the speed!

Anyhow... I could go on and on about why I think harper is bad for Canada. But I think I'll stop here........

Host one... yes I've played out, I had a residency before the club closed here.
I've played a few club nights reaching 800ppl and a few parties as well. Nothing huge. But gigs none the less.

Wicked Lady... :) Being from ottawa is a bad thing? heh .. anyhow thanx for stickin up. Not everyone has to be jadded and full of speculation.

Thog... I've added a couple parties... (Sept 19/2003, Dec.31/2003) I need to add one more (Feb.06/2004) Let me know about that profile...

Hey Thog... Well.. I haven't played any of the parties in the calender.. I don't live in montreal.. I would LOVE to play some parties/clubs in montreal.. But you see.. I'm from Winnipeg. I do play parties.. but parties here are scarce as its a rough scene at the moment.. But yeah.. I dj.. been so since 2000 so.. if you can make me a profile.. that'd be cool.. otherwise I guess I'll have to get my ass booked in mtl :P
