Nice track guys, abit more psy twistedness in the synths while keeping those wicked d'n'b beats would have been nice. I love that sample, and the end is great :) Make some more tracks ! |

Experimenting with alternate sleepping schedules to get my assignments/project done. 4 hours of sleep and frequent power naps seem effective but I might go fullscale uberman and adopt a sleep cycle of 15min every four hours and see how that goes. |

Lol, I don't care however someone dresses or styles him-herself, but putting the mass of your hair right in front of your eyes is the kind of idea you'd expect genetic selection to have rooted out... At least the glam-rockers of the 80s could see without having to squint side-ways through their manes. |

Food for thought. |

Hermits live happily according to hermit standards I'd think. Also if you're a misanthropist and hate everyone's guts, than the less social interaction the happier one is. |

Depression and stupidity are mutually exclusive. On an unrelated note, if more people were stoners the world would be a better place. Seriously, what Canada needs to do to help promote world peace is send TONS of the finest marijuana to Israel and Palestine... Pretty soon zionists and hamas activists would be sitting around looking at a wall and passing a J around. |

Here's my second finished ambient/chill track, and the mix/synths are probably more pleasing than the last one, although you may find it a bit monotonous. Anyway enjoy :) Here's the link : [ www.rave.ca ] |

LSD doesn't burn brain cells. It's less toxic than vitamin C for crying out loud. Just because you FEEL your brain melting into a puddle doesn't mean it's litterally frying :) |

Ever since I've got FL 6 installed I can't seem to get away from it :) This one is a melodic prog trance track; I spent more time working on each synth's sound and the general mix compared to past tracks. Made in FL Studio 6, using Junglist for the bass, Vanguard, 3xOsc, SuperwavePro, and Zeta+ for leads and pads, and voxengo warmifier + fruity multiband comp. for the mix. Enjoy ! And leave comments & criticisms if you have some . Here's the track: [ www.rave.ca ] |

I'm pretty sure that it's linked to CNS (central nervous system) arousal, which is caused by many substances such as amphetamines, LSD, shrooms, mdma ... Notice that drugs that depress the CNS tend to shrink pupils (opiates). I'm clueless as to the specific mecanics. |
» HumanBoing replied on Wed Jan 18, 2006 @ 5:01pm. Posted in Need some software coded?. |
Sorry, I'm looking into VST/VSTi coding, but I dunno if my team members will be interested in going into that, and I don't think you'll be able to supply a valid organization/company to which the work is to be destined if it's just for personal producing needs. Anyway, there are so many freeware synths out on the net, many of them very good, so I don't think I'd be able to come up with something worthwhile in comparison hehe. |
» HumanBoing replied on Wed Jan 18, 2006 @ 10:22am. Posted in Need some software coded?. |
Hmm maybe not, but I can make you something close : a piece of code that'll send you love messages every now and then through msn, and also regularly pump some money out of your bank account. How about that? |

» HumanBoing replied on Tue Jan 17, 2006 @ 6:52pm. Posted in Need some software coded?. |
Hello, I'm currently taking a software engineering course which includes a project, in which we are to find a client who needs some kind of software to be made. We won't have the time to produce anything extremely complex, but if you need some kind of application to help you with whatever it is you do, let me know. One condition is that you are going to be using the software for something business/work related, and be able to supply a company/organization name to which the software is destined. |

If you've really got a message to transmit, and want to help people, than behaving this bluntly will only cause the opposite of your goals. Accompany love with intelligence, and drop the messiah-game as well as your ego. |
» HumanBoing replied on Thu Jan 12, 2006 @ 3:28pm. Posted in What is time?. |
my thoughts on time is that time is not. It's an illusion, it's totally fluid and subjective ; it's the illusion of continuity between the falsly discriminated aspects of the present moment. Quantum theories on the subject of time tend to go in that sense as well. Another way of expressing the same idea is that time is the universe. The universe seems varied and full of different objects but it all came from a point of existence and actually ever remained a point of existence. The discrimation of existence into various moments and things is the base of cause&effect, of time and the universe. Just my current buddhism-inspired theory :) |
