Dj Spikenard was inspired in his young age by a dj called Carl Cox. He was always inspired to play to the masses just to captivate their hearts through his feelings and the music bringing them in one notion was his greatest dream.
"I tell you when you are up there throwing tracks after tracks and working with and into the crowd, the feeling is so amazing, very spiritually uplifting. I call it the formation of unity from all walks of life with music".
Dj Spikenard has been djing for 14 years since the age of 15. He started of his djing career in Singapore playing in clubs like : Light House, Zeus, Sugar, Moondance, Next Page, Chocolate, Nox, Orb, Suede and Spiritz. In Singapore since 1995 - 2001 he has played alongside djs like : Nervous, Vertigo, Ajay, Latifah, Brendon P, Borhead, Ramesh K, Rainer and Abbey.
He also Played alongside with world class Dj John ‘OO’ Fleming and Dj Sven Vath.back in 2002. In 2006 he was flown to Xi an china to play after Deep Dish Sharem Tayebi in The very splendid 1+1 club on the 30th of may 2006. In Malaysia He has played at clubs such as : Station 3, Emporium, Rubber room and Backroom. He played alongside Kenneth Koh, Malvin Tan, Flabbergast, Reggie and many others too much to mention. Music Stlye and Genre: Electro clash, Electro house, House, Deep House, Tribal house, Nu Jackin Beats and Techno.
In Thailand 2002 He has played in Koh Samui at clubs such as Fuse, Moomba and Scud bar with Dj Auy and Dj Surachit. He also has played in numerous underground parties held In Jungles, Forests, Deserted islands such as Koh Tao and Koh Tan for fullmoon parties under Ritual Bay. In 2007 Feb he went back to play in Koh Samui In barhaus and djed in Koh phanghan Thailand for fullmoon, halfmoon, backyard after party, coral pool parties and leela beach white dress party.
He Performed as a guest dj in England London 2001 at Monarch at the Barfly.Played in Numerous Squat parties. Injecting House music since 1998. Dj Spikenard knows what the crowd wants all over the world. In Australia Melbourne and Sydney he has had a strong influence playing in Clubs like 101, Dream, Republika, Cape Lounge, Room 680, Metro, Revolver, Laundry, Ace Morning, Platform 1 , Mega Bar, Bimbo’s Deluxe, Technological Secret service warehouse party, Brown Alley, Gas and Tank in Sydney. He has collarborated and worked alongside Djs such as Anura, Alex k, Jason S, Simon Slieker, Andrew Marsh, Dj Ando, Dj Chris Miller, Dj Milligram, The Teriyaki Anaki Saki Crew, Four Senses Crew, Dj Avatar, Holotropik and DJ Ben.
In china he has played in all true colour clubs Ben Sur, In Shen zhen he had a residency in Laluno , he played at Yellow club in Shenzhen, he played in R & B House Laibin Nanning, In-Club in Shen Zhen China, Soho Bar in Sekou China. Dj accomplishments: Dj Spikenard has participated in the DMC Technics world Dj Championship in Singapore in 1999 .He also participated in Nokia Turntablist competition. The styles : Filled with much enthusiasm in what he plays, his style of building and layering is as the likes of Dj Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Claude Young, Ken ishii, Tatsuoko Fuji, Fumiya Tanaka and Dave Angel.
Beat Juggling and mixing simultaneously to a formidable journey never seemed to turn the listeners down and is always captivating their hearts with House, Detroit Techno and Nu Jackin Beats.
